The exhibition »Plastic: Remaking Our World« examines the history and future of this controversial material – from its meteoric rise in the twentieth century to its environmental impact and to cutting-edge solutions for a more sustainable use of plastic. The Opening Talk (held on 25 March 2022) brought together a panel of designers and thinkers looking at plastic from different perspectives; guests were the Dutch designer Ineke Hans, Anne Aittomaki from the Danish environmental organisation Plastic Change, and Insiya Jafferjee from the London-based start-up Shellworks, that develops innovative bioplastics. Moderated by exhibition curators Jochen Eisenbrand and Mea Hoffmann.
